Yesterday’s garage sales were unproductive but a very nice lady invited us to see her hidden garden after I admired her landscaping. Gardeners (like animal lovers) can spot each other in an instant. Within minutes we were talking like old friends and we were trading tips and trials.

We also met her bulldog, Walter. Who names a dog Walter? LOL. He was a sweetheart though. She says she has trouble with her neighbors because they’re afraid of him, but honestly, he was a big marshmallow.

People! Sheesh!

It was fun, and she gave me a lot of ideas on what to try in my new landscaping venture for the front yard. I love picking other people’s brains for ideas.

Last week, a good friend sent me a copy of a magazine on recycling/upcycling. It was inspiring! There were a few things in that magazine I’d like to incorporate into my yard.

Sometimes you get into a rut. Looking at what you already have with fresh eyes can turn blah into ahh.

Hey, tomorrow is October. Finally! What’s on your radar for October?
