I hurt myself something fierce on Friday. I slipped on some wet rocks as I was hurrying from one job to another. Landed right on my pride. Unfortunately my pride landed on thick metal edging I use around my back door flower bed.
As I write this I’m still sore. It’s hard to sit. Lying down isn’t so easy either.
This week I thought I’d mix things up a bit and eat from our freezer. There’s a small turkey in there that’s due for a debut and I’ve been eyeing that rack of ribs forever. What turkey we don’t eat after our second meal will go to the dogs after I’ve shredded it. I still cook for them even though I supplement it with ‘special’ kibble on account of Nana’s bad knees.
This week me and Nana are hobbling. Loyal readers know we spent a ginormous amount of money fixing her left knee. The orthopedic surgeon warned us then that the right one will probably go out too since the tendon was slipping off the kneecap. Sure enough, she no sooner recovered from the first surgery that now she’s limping on the other leg.
We plan to take her to our regular vet and get an assessment before we commit to another surgery. I don’t think this knee is as bad as the other one, but it’s only a matter of time until she injures it and won’t be able to recover.
The one bright spot is that the surgeon did an outstanding job on her first knee. I was very pleased. Poorer, but pleased. 🙂

Hugs to you and Nana as you both work on your physical ailments.
We’ve both had it a bit tough this week. Hopefully, it’s just a minor setback. I’m glad too that I didn’t land on my spine. For once that extra layer of fat came in handy. 🙂
