We’re officially old! Since my mother’s been here, we’ve switched our heavier meal for lunch and just had a snack for dinner–or just dessert. Greg told me yesterday that he wouldn’t mind if we kept doing it that way.

Instead of having the heavier meal for lunch though, we’ll just eat a very late lunch (early dinner) and skip regular dinner all together. It’s fine by me. I can’t eat too late at night or else I won’t be able to sleep anyway, so it works for me.

In other news: We were supposed to have our garage sale over the weekend, but we had the mother of all storms roll in. It was terrible!  The thunder was so loud it shook the house. At one point, I ran out of my room and headed to where the rest of the family had gathered. That was too close.

We had some broken branches, but the roof was still intact so all in all, we did okay. As for the garage sale, I’m not sure when we’ll have it now. This coming weekend is just before the Fourth of July, so probably not the best date for a sale. I hate to put it off but the timing and the weather sucks.

Do you eat three meals a day? More or less? I was more of a snacker when I lived alone, sometimes eating four or five mini meals. When Greg moved back home, he insisted on three full meals, but he’s really liked eating our temporary late lunch menu in lieu of dinner.

We’ll try it for a while and see what happens.

This last storm was a tad less crazy here in my area, but it was enough for the city to start putting sand bags on more road gutters.

Although the storm shook things up with the house and garage sale, I hope things are going well with the family visit.

  2. Wow, does sound like a bad storm you had! Hubby is down to eating 2 meals a day, lunch and dinner. I’m still at 3 meas a day, albeit small ones, but I need that morning protein to get me going, that lunchtime protein to sustain me for the rest of the work shift, and then something at night to keep me now from getting too hungry in the middle of the night.
