By this time of year we would’ve had more than a dozen bbqs, but we’re well short of that number. It’s just been too hot. Today we got a break from the heat so we’re taking advantage of it. Greg always cooks too much so we’ll be sending out food with friends and keeping a little for ourselves.
Last week, I didn’t have to cook for two days because one of my neighbors brought over a big pot of beef soup and cornbread. It was so good!
More news on the border collie and kitten front: We can now let them roam free in the house. I still put up Jaz whenever we eat because he’s a moocher. I also put him up at night, otherwise Nana would never let him sleep.
The one good thing about letting them together is that they tire each other out. Iko watches them in relief. With Nana occupied there’s more head scratching and kisses for him. 🙂
Jaz is such a nice little cat. The only peculiar thing about him is his coat color. He’s salt and pepper. My cat expert friends think it’s probably due to his rough start in life and severe malnutrition. Thankfully, other than his weird coloring, he’s nicely filled out. No more little skeleton.
